there is a place in my heart called memory lane.
a place that I like to visit when I am alone,
at night,
when the world is asleep,
and I am alone with my thoughts.

there is a place in my heart that I call memory lane.
a place that I visit,
when the world gets to big,
to hard,
to over whelming.

there is a place in my heart that I like to call memory lane.
where my hopes live.
I will not let them die.
it is the only thing that keeps me going,
when it seems that the world has had its way with me.
that all of the things that I have ever wanted,
or ever wanted to be,
come to live,
and rest awhile.
to gain some strength to face the world again.

there is a place in my heart called memory lane,
where I am eight years old again,
and the world was still new,
exciting, waiting to be explored.

there is a place in my heart I call memory lane.
where I am young and strong,
full of life.
ready to take on the world,
and be brave once more.

there is a place in my heart called memory lane.
that place we all know.
that place we all return to,
and have our rest.

there is a place in our hearts called memory lane.
sometimes,
life is good.

the more that I learn, the more that I know that I do not know. so knowing that I do not know, is the beginning of wisdom.
